Wait Until Exams Are Over
Sometimes, it may be worth it to just wait until your final examinations are over before making a final decision. Furthermore, your examination results may cast a much clearer picture on your abilities, including what may seem feasible and what may just not be worth the effort.
Seek Guidance from Adults
Most adults around you can give you some sort of insight on career planning. Your parents and teachers should already have given you some kind of advice in the past, but arranging another discussion or two with them can help you gain some extra information. Alternatively, seek help from a career guidance counsellor or a private ssat tutoring professor, especially one who is well-versed in the fields you are currently interested in.
Identify the Necessary Criteria
Most jobs out there require some sort of background before you are able to apply. For example, you can’t land any job in the medical field without a degree or similar qualification in medicine. Once you have identified a few career paths that interest you, start looking into ways to get where you want. Some jobs are harder to get into than others, mostly due to demand and competition, so it is always a good idea to have a backup plan.
Attend Career Guidance Events
Career guidance fairs and other similar events are not uncommon. If you ever get the chance to attend one of them, it is a good idea to do so: you never know whether you will find something that is going to pique your interest or whether you will find the necessary connections required to get your dream job.
